I have had the privilege to sit under the teaching of Thomas Schreiner for several years now. To this date, he remains on the most knowledgeable and humble men I know, always encouraging students to press on in their study of the Scriptures. Dr. Schreiner has helped shape the way I do theology, and for this I am forever in his debt.
Schreiner’s publication list is by no means scanty, and I am eagerly anticipating the release of his new whole Bible biblical theology entitled, The King in his Beauty: A Biblical Theology of the Old and New Testaments. The target audience for this work, according to Schreiner, is the busy pastor pursuing faithfulness to the text, and the lay person seeking to understand their Bible. As with his other works, this book is focused more on what the text says than what other scholars say about the text. The goal is, once again, to give readers a glimpse of the glory of triune God who reigns as king.
Credo magazine has interviewed Dr. Schreiner about forthcoming work. You can read it here.
